You can delete your Globutor account and the personal information on it at any time. This page explains how to do it, what is removed, and what we have to keep. Nothing here needs you to be signed in to read.
This is the quickest way, and it happens straight away.
Your account is deleted the moment you confirm. You are signed out of every device immediately and you cannot sign in again.
Lost your password, lost access to the email address, or the account is locked. Fill this in and a person will deal with it.
We will check the account is yours before deleting anything, so please use the address the account was created with if you can.
Delete your posts if you want them gone. Deleting your account removes your name from them, but the posts themselves stay up under a deleted account. Remove them yourself first if you would rather they went.
Withdraw your balance if you are a tutor. Money in your wallet does not disappear, but getting it to you afterwards means proving who you are all over again. Far easier before.
Deleting from Settings is immediate. A request from the form above depends on how quickly we can be sure the account is yours, and we aim to finish within 30 days of being satisfied about that.
Globutor keeps direct messages permanently and nobody can delete them, staff included. That is a deliberate child-safeguarding decision on a platform where adults teach children, and it applies whether or not an account is deleted. The messages stay; your name comes off them.
